About us
The Army Benevolent Fund is the Army’s national charity, providing lifelong support to serving soldiers, veterans and their immediate families when they are in need. We believe that everyone who has served their country should have the opportunity to live with independence, dignity and security.
Each year we support around 80,000 members of the Army family in more than 50 countries around the world. We provide grants directly to individuals and families, and fund leading charities and organisations to ensure support is available whenever it is needed.
Our work focuses on six key areas; independent living, elderly care, education and training, mental wellbeing, family support and housing. From helping veterans adapt their homes and access specialist care, to supporting families facing financial hardship, we make sure no member of the Army community is left without help.
Working alongside trusted partner organisations, we deliver support that is truly lifelong, helping members of the Army family overcome challenges and build secure, fulfilling futures.
